Delete your PassportSpark account

Last updated: 31 October 2026 · Closed-beta version
You can delete your PassportSpark account at any time in the app. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you join again later, you will start a new account.

In the app

Open PassportSpark and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Read the summary, tick the confirmation box and confirm. If you last signed in more than 10 minutes ago, you will be asked to sign in again first.
If you uninstalled the app, reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play and sign in the way you usually do, then follow the steps above.

What happens when you delete your account

  • Immediately: your profile is paused and removed from Discovery, matching and messaging, you are signed out on every device and the account can no longer be used to sign in.
  • Then: your data is erased. Erasure normally starts right after you confirm. If it is interrupted, the request stays open and is processed again. It is only marked complete after checks confirm that your photos, verification selfies, sign-in sessions and private profile data have been removed.

What is deleted

  • Your profile, your profile photos and the stored photo files.
  • Photo Verification selfies, verification attempts and your account verification records.
  • Private account details, such as your email address.
  • Discovery, travel and Priority Intro preferences.
  • Hearts and Passes you gave or received, Priority Intros and matches.
  • Conversations, all of their messages and read status.
  • Blocks you placed on other members.
  • Contact-detail check records, usage counters and subscription entitlement records.
  • All sign-in sessions. Your sign-in account is deleted. If you confirm the deletion with Sign in with Apple, PassportSpark’s access to your Apple ID is also revoked.

What is retained, and why

Some records are retained for a limited period for safety and legal reasons. Members can never see them.
  • Reports made by you or about you, with report-time profile and reported-message snapshots where captured: to protect members, investigate abuse and handle appeals or legal claims. Ordinary conversation messages are deleted.
  • Restricted severe-abuse records: protected verified sign-in identifiers and approved enforcement links, reviewed and expired under the applicable security-retention schedule. They do not preserve your full dating profile.
  • Photo Verification audit records (when and how a verification request was reviewed, without the selfie, which is deleted): to keep verification decisions accountable.
  • Operator marketplace decisions about your account: for accountability.
  • Moderation cases, decisions and sanctions: to keep enforcement consistent and stop banned members from returning.
  • Blocks other members placed on your account: they are part of that member’s own safety record.
  • Records of actions the PassportSpark team took on your account: for accountability.
  • A marker that a verified person deleted an account: to detect re-registration after a ban.
  • The moderation history of display-name and city changes: kept with moderation records.
  • A minimal receipt of your deletion request: proof that the request was processed.
  • A scrubbed placeholder profile (“Deleted member”, with no bio, interests, languages, height, photos or real birth date; only the city, country, gender and dating intent remain): kept only while one of the records above refers to it. Otherwise your profile is deleted completely.
  • Backups: copies may remain in our service providers’ backups until those backups expire.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your store account so you are not charged again. PassportSpark does not sell subscriptions during the closed beta.
